Well it's been quite a while since I've done one of these posts, and since it's the new year I'm filled with determination and have lots of games to get through this year. This month a few new games are coming out that I want to play eventually; Resident Evil 7, Yakuza 0 and Dragon Quest 8. One day I'll get around to them but this month is not that time. This is what I've been playing this January.

I have a problem, I just cant stop playing this games multiplayer. It's definitely turned into my comfort food game, if I find myself just longing around but don't have time to really dig into something more substantial this goes on. I haven't even completed the singleplayer yet, one day I'm sure I will but what I've seen of it so far hasn't grabbed me to, but it sure is cinematic like previous battlefield games.

The extremely adept and fun multiplayer does fall down with the lack of variety in weapons and maps, while they are still fun to play after a while the lack of content is noticeable. Hopefully this can fixed with the upcoming DLC in March, I'm of two minds on weather I'll pick up the Premium Pass, I guess I'll decide if I'm still playing in March.

I got Pokémon Moon for Christmas this year and it has been by far the best game of the series in a while. The last Pokemon game I actually completed was Black and I wasn't too impressed with X & Y, so it is very nice to see a fully 3D edition to the series that I'm enjoying. The new Alola region in the game is fantastic; bright, fun and interesting Alola is superb and full of personality. The game itself has changed the traditional momentum of the game and now includes trials instead of the standard gym battle. Trials feature a task you need to complete followed by a powered up boss Pokémon to fight, no gym leaders required. I've been a bit slow playing through this and need to put a few more hours into it, but so far I am extremely impressed.

Uncharted is a series that I have never played before, and is sadly a distinct gap in my video game knowledge. So since it was going cheap in the PSN January sale I picked up the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection. I've started the first game in the series and am having a blast, the one downside so far is how hard some of the combat is, that's mainly because I'm playing on the hardest difficulty for them trophies son! However it's without a doubt a fun game to play, and even though I haven't got very far in the story it has definitely hooked me with its fun, action packed tone.

What have you been playing this month?
